Presentation

The C3S Institute is devoted to Systems Sciences (namely multi application sciences) closely
interconnected with technologies such as Information, Communication, Energy and Processes. It aims at providing industry and services entreprises with accurate and innovative solutions. The Institute covers multiple markets such as space, transportation, telecommunication, services, healthcare, economy and finance.

Technologies

Communications : wireless communications systems, digital communications, signal processing for communications, inverse wave
problems; software radio and cognitive radio; electromagnetic compatibility, electromagnetic dosimetry; architectures of mixed-signal integrated circuits
and microsystems, algorithm integration and electronic systems; telecommunications optoelectronics systems and devices, microwave sensors
and probes, electromagnetics of complex structures applied to microwave devices; antennas and signal processing for the next radar generation.

Energy : electrical and mechanical systems, electrical machines, electrical contacts; power networks, power electronics; devices and components
reliability; modeling of electromagnetic systems: materials, EMC, CAD and NDT; environmental and medical control by means of electrochemical
processes.

Information : networks and information systems security; heterogeneous information systems; distributed systems and computing grids; image
processing, multimodal information processing; heterogeneous modeling and embedded software; data mining; performance evaluation methods.

Process : carbonaceous materials; metal coating; energy materials; material modeling for pharmaceutical application; industrial liquid waste
processing; bioprocesses.

Systems Sciences

Modeling, analysis and control of complex nonlinear or hybrid systems; robust multivariate control, predictive control; optimization; signal processing:compression; non-uniform sampling and singular signal processing; statistical information processing and indirect measurement, training, uncertainty characterization; knowledge management.
