  • Embedded systems  safety  & security
  • Software & systems engineering

SENSING SYSTEMS

  • Innovative sensors
  • Measurement systems
  • Data analysis
  • Non destructive testing
  • Ionising radiation metrology

Innovation driver

By developing cutting-edge technological research, CEA LIST enhances the competitiveness of its industrial partners through innovation and technological transfer. The major activity is focused on joint research with key industrial markets like transportation, energy, security & defence and health: a hundred of partners – large companies and SMEs, over 200 contracts signed per year, 11 high-tech start-ups created since 2001, a portfolio of 237 patents implemented at the international level, corresponding to 74 active licences. CEA LIST budget is €58M, among which 60% of contractual resources.

CEA LIST activities meet the whole innovation chain demands, from the system design to pre-industrial demonstrators, and fall within the scope of technological roadmaps shared with its partners. This strategy is implemented in the 30 joint laboratories and R&D programmes between CEA LIST and its industrial partners.

A PARTNERSHIP ECOSYSTEM

The CEA LIST's development is integrated into a world-class ecosystem, including Digiteo, the leading French ICT Research Park, and the competitiveness clusters, particularly Systematic Paris-Region dedicated to complex systems, along with Cap Digital, Aerospace Valley, Mov’eo and Medicen.
With a hundred of FP7 projects (12 as project leader) and a participation in several networks of excellence, platforms and clusters (Artemis, Europ, Manufuture, Smart Grid, Eureka, etc.), the Institute is deeply involved in European research. As a European Organisation for Security member and a partner in 40 dedicated projects, the CEA LIST demonstrates its strong interest in the security industrial sector.
