In order to meet the ever tightened regulatory constraints and the market expectations in the field of industrial or sports flooring, the industrial Colas Group had to offer new products being more eco-friendly, renewable and free of dangerous isocyanate compounds. This is now done through a research partnership engaged in 2008 with the Carnot institute CED2 in order to complement its offer with competitive products including materials based on “new biobased non-toxic epoxy resins” as well as new polyurethane binder solutions that enable to better meet the environmental and human health requirements.
The answer given by CED2 to the Colas Group offers real market prospects and it is protected through three patents.
