Presentation
At the heart of the sustainable mobility and energy ecosystems,
outstanding research serving industry
outstanding research serving industry
Innovation
-
Innovative solutions to address technological challenges and market needs
♦ Powertrain systems:
- Low-carbon fuels and eco-mobility (cars, trucks, urban transport, off-road, maritime and aviation)
- Mobile or stationary systems for energy production and storage and lost energy recovery - High-performance experimental resources and digital tools resulting in innovations with reduced costs and development times
- A proactive industrial protection policy
Technology transfer
- Support for industrial sectors, covering a very broad range of technological readiness levels (TRL 1 to 9)
-
Transfer of our R&D results via:
- joint product development with licensing out operations
- strategic partnerships
- collaborative research agreements - An innovation support policy, aimed particularly at micro-companies, SME's and intermediate-sized companies
Target Markets
- Automobile
- Aviation
- Energy
- Off-road
- River, maritime
- Rail
Cutting-edge expertise and skills
- 3D modeling and advanced combustion diagnostics
- System simulation and real-time simulation
- Passenger cars and heavy-duty vehicles IC engine technologies (gasoline, diesel, gas, etc.)
- After-treatment systems
- Powertrain architecture design and vehicle integration
- Powertrain control and onboard energy optimization
- Powertrain/fuel compatibility and alternative fuels
- Electric machines & power electronics
- Energy storage systems
Collaboration
- Close ties with industry: from microcompanies, SME's and intermediate-sized companies to major industrial groups
- A strong commitment within competitiveness clusters (Mov’eo, LUTB, Systematic, Astech, etc.)
- Pooled and targeted action within the context of Carnot “industrial sector” projects: coordinator of Carnauto for the automobile sector and partner of Aircar for the aviation sector
- A synergy with networks of academic partners and R&D laboratories with an international influence
- Active participation in European authorities representing research and industry (EARPA, ERTRAC, EGVIA)
