Cerema Effi-sciences

Associated Carnot

As a resource and expertise centre, Cerema develops partnerships with socio-economic operators involved in the areas of risk, environment, mobility and planning. It responds to cross-functional territorial issues, particularly through the development of research partnerships with the socio-economic state, and has many tools and technology platforms that can be used to serve innovation.

Presentation

Experimental research to support the ecological transition locally

Thematic fields related to major societal challenges

Our main strengths

  • Highly present throughout France
  • A cross-sectoral approach taking regional issues into account
  • Technological innovation, and innovative methods and services for territorial issues

Target markets

  • Environment and risks
  • Flow, rivers and coastline

  • Fabric of towns

  • Infrastructures and mobility

From modelling to experimental set-ups, large-scale instruments and R&D platforms

Cerema Effi-sciences aims to help its customers meet the needs of the ecological transition in their area.

The institute is strongly rooted locally so as to be close to its customers and their needs. It provides them with Cerema’s R&D results, skills and resources in the fields of observation, instrumentation, measurement, analysis and modelling to understand and anticipate how their products or services work and assess their impact. It thereby helps them to provide products, services, structures, and improvement work by:

  • improving their technical efficiency

  • qualifying their environmental efficiency

  • increasing their socio-economic efficiency

Cerema Effi-sciences is:

  • 1 institute, integrating by means of a continuum: "Research and innovation - tests and trials - studies and expertise - advice and assistance"

  • 2 centres for the study and design of prototypes in the fields of instrumentation and sensors, navigational aids, and in the development of inspection equipment, especially for infrastructure

  • many technology platforms
