ISA Aerospace Systems Engineering

Onera’s “Aerospace Systems Engineering” unit, abbreviated ISA (Ingénierie des Systèmes Aérospatiaux), gathers the full array of skills and expertise needed to design tomorrow’s aerospace platforms and systems.

Presentation

Current aerospace industry requirements :

Today’s aerospace systems are increasingly complex. Their design and development require new technologies, tools and methods due to a number of factors:

  • the need for a comprehensive optimization of systems, integrating many constraints;
  • the wide variety of physical phenomena involved, which demands the integration of major scientific disciplines and coupling of computation codes;
  • the need to understand multiple scales,both spatial and temporal;
  • the need to prove system dependability.

ONERA ISA Carnot institute provides clients in industry and partners with solutions :

  • Interdisciplinary studies;
  • The ability to integrate technologies early in the development process;
  • Validation of theoretical models through experimentation;
  • Possible quick and limited answers to reduce development costs
  • Transfer of methods and tools to design offices.
